Description
Crown Industries is one of the few organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain to be ISO certified in all the following categories:
ISO 9001:2000: Quality Management System
ISO 14001: 2004: Environmental Management System
OHSAS 18001: 2007: Occupational Health and Safety Management System
Crown Industries is the pioneer re-cycling operation in Bahrain. We are the only Company in Bahrain with the full capability to re-cycle plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, obsolete machinery, electrical and telecommunications cable and equipment. All our products are re-cycled, processed and exported to different parts of the world. Our main export markets are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, Taiwan, UAE, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore etc;. We export on an average 200 containers per month.
We maintain our own fully comprehensive range of transport vehicles, plant and machinery allowing us to handle materials quickly and efficiently using our specially trained and highly experienced staff around 120. Through our full range of activities we are contributing positively to the Government’s environmental programmes.
Our Company is 100 per cent owned by Bahraini shareholders. We have currently invested BD100,000 in two new factory units for re-cycling aluminium and the non-ferrous metals. This brings our total sites and factories to five locations giving the Company plenty of space with which to handle any volume of materials.
Crown Industries have existing long-term scrap removal contracts with, and have regularly obtained tenders from, major organizations such as Aluminium Bahrain Company (Alba), ASRY, Bahrain Airport Services, Bahrain National Oil Co;BAPCO, BATELCO, Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mills Co; Gulf Air, Gulf Petrochemical Industries, Gulf Industrial Investment Co; and many other prestigious companies.
We are a Gold member of BIR (Bureau of International Recycling) and also of BMR (Bureau of Middle East Recycling)
We export approximately 200 containers per month to various destinations, like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, GCC, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Nepal etc;.
