The trigger for the establishment of the organic weekly market ... and regional was the Chernobyl explosion. As a young mother, Anne Faika wanted to feed her children healthily and initially founded a shopping community through which she obtained organically produced food. The organic farmers came to our kitchen table once a week. The apartment was in chaos - the children were picking up the apartment while the vegetables were piled up in the kitchen.
This is how the idea of an ecological weekly market came about, which makes shopping easier. Four years later, in 1990, the first organic weekly market took place.
Meanwhile, Anne Faika's daughter Birte is also enthusiastically carrying the organic weekly market ... and regional products into the future.
