The College of Law is one of the colleges of Sultan Qaboos University, which was established independently in the name of the College of Sharia and Law based on Royal Decree No. (97/26) issued on May 28, 1997 AD and is affiliated with the Minister of Higher Education and is located in Al Wattayah, and on June 22, 2005 AD Royal Decree No. (2005/55) by amending the name of the College of Sharia and Law to the College of Law and transferring its affiliation to Sultan Qaboos University as of the date of completion of its facilities on campus. The affiliation of the College of Law was transferred to Sultan Qaboos University, starting from the 2007/2006 academic year, provided that it remains at its current headquarters in Watiyya, as stipulated by Royal Decree No. (2006/38) issued on the twenty-fourth of April 2006 AD. In 2012, the college was moved to the university campus, and its current location is in Building (G - G ) opposite the Cultural Center, and the college rehabilitates and prepares specialized cadres in the legal field through specialized academic programs. The college also contributes to raising the level of workers in the legal field through Graduate studies programs, which are offered in four branches of law, and the college contributes to community service through scientific and social contributions made by members of the academic body in various fields and legal advice The college seeks to occupy a distinguished position within its regional and international surroundings through the quality of its academic programs, its distinction in the field of scientific research, and its renewed contribution to community service. College Message: The college aims to excel in theoretical and field legal education, and to work on community service by training graduates equipped with thinking and scientific research skills.
